This is the 2024 Special Release from Mortlach, called Midnight Dusk, a single malt in a 70cl bottle at 57.5% ABV.
It was matured in Italian casks that previously held Ramandolo and Sangiovese wines. Special Releases are an annual series of bottlings from Scotland's distilleries.
The flavour is fruity, honeyed and malty, with winey tones and some smoky and spicy notes.
