Mossburn Craigellachie Vintage Casks No. 13 10 Year Old

This is a 10 year old single malt from Craigellachie Distillery, in the Speyside village of the same name, bottled independently by Mossburn Whisky Company as Vintage Casks No. 13. It comes from a specific vintage cask selection and is bottled without added colour or chill filtration. Craigellachie keeps a deliberately heavy, sulphurous and meaty character, which comes from its worm tub condensers rather than modern shell-and-tube ones. That makes the Speyside style here quite different from the clean profile usually associated with the region.
