Cody Road Bourbon is made by the Mississippi River Distilling Company and bottled at 40% in a 50cl bottle. It is named after William Buffalo Bill Cody, who was born in Le Claire. The mash is mostly corn, with wheat and unmalted barley, and the bourbon matures in small, freshly charred oak casks. It is free of added colouring.
The nose is sweet corn with vanilla and caramel. On the palate there is soft grain sweetness, light fruit and nutty notes, rounded off with gentle wood and spice. The finish is soft and round, yet expressive.
