Murray McDavid Ardmore 10 Years Old Pinot Noir Wine Benchmark (53.5%)

This is a 10 year old Ardmore single malt bottled by Murray McDavid in its Benchmark series. The spirit was distilled at Ardmore in Kennethmont, Aberdeenshire, and matured in bourbon hogsheads before a finish in first-fill Pinot Noir casks of French oak from Burgundy. Ardmore has never stopped using peat, which gives a lightly smoky spirit, and the red wine casks add a vibrant, fruity depth alongside its oily character. It was bottled in autumn 2023 at a natural cask strength of 53.5% ABV, with natural colour and without chill filtration. The outturn was 1,335 bottles.
