Myken Autumn Gale is a three-year-old Norwegian single malt, matured for three years and ten months mainly in ex-sherry casks, with some ex-bourbon casks. It was made by the Ladies of Myken and bottled at 51% ABV, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
Myken Destilleri was founded in 2014 by Roar Larsen and Trude Tokle in the old fishing village of Myken. Production, maturation and bottling all take place on the island.
Vanilla and warm caramel meet dried fruit and a light smokiness on the nose. The palate is full, with honey sweetness, dried fruit and lively spice, and the finish holds dried fruit and woody spice for a long while.
