Nc'nean Huntress Orchard Cobbler is a limited Highland single malt Scotch whisky from Nc'nean Distillery, bottled at 48.5% ABV in a 700ml bottle. It is produced once a year.
The spirit is distilled during the week when the distillers switch between two recipes, which gives a new make with unusually high fruity esters. It matures in 66% STR ex-red wine casks, 31% ex-American whiskey casks and 3% Oloroso sherry casks.
Cherry Bakewell tart and apricot marmalade lead the nose, with vanilla custard and peppermint tea. The palate is pear drop and jammy cherry, then ginger biscuit and baked plum, with rosemary. The finish is medium-long, with peppermint fondant, Jaffa cake and lime zest.
