Nc'Nean Organic Single Malt is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky made entirely from organic Scottish barley and bottled at 46% ABV in a 700ml bottle. The bottle itself is made from 100% recycled clear glass.
It comes from Nc'Nean Distillery in Drimnin, on the Morvern peninsula of Scotland's west coast. The distillery rotates through several yeasts, including wine yeasts and sometimes champagne or rum yeasts, and the aim is a fruit-forward character rather than heavy peat or sherry influence.
Orange peel, barley sugar, apricot jam and raspberry preserve lead the nose. Lemon curd, poached peach and honey follow on the palate, and the finish is medium, juicy and soft, with summer fruits.
