This is a single cask Highland malt from NC'nean, made with organic Scottish barley. It comes from the Aon series, named after the Gaelic word for one, which gathers hand-picked single casks.
The whisky spent at least five years in a first-fill ex-bourbon cask and was bottled at its natural cask strength of 57.1%. Only 229 bottles were filled, in 70cl recycled glass, without chill-filtration or added colour.
The nose offers juicy grapefruit, fresh vanilla and apricot jam with a touch of spice. The palate is full and balanced, with grapefruit, vanilla, apricot, honey, toffee and a gentle smokiness. The finish is long and warm, with a salty note.
