This is a cask strength organic single malt from NC'nean, bottled at 59.6% in a 70cl bottle. Batch CS/GD06 was created for the German market, with 4,998 bottles filled without chill-filtration or added colour.
NC'nean stands on the Morvern peninsula on Scotland's west coast and was founded by Annabel Thomas. This batch matured in 55% STR red wine casks, 43% bourbon casks and 2% Oloroso sherry casks.
The nose is floral, with fresh herbs, ripe peach and apricot, sandalwood and a pinch of nutmeg. The palate brings juicy fruit, salted caramel, spicy rye bread, white pepper and layered oak. The finish is long, with apple and peach and a light herbal spice.
