An experimental organic single malt from the NC'Nean distillery in Scotland, in a 70cl bottle at 48.5% ABV. The barley is organic, and fermentation used four yeast strains, including red wine and white wine yeast for the first time.
The whisky matured in a combination of ex-bourbon casks and STR red wine casks. It is bottled non-chill-filtered and with natural colour.
The nose is intense, with vanilla, toffee, caramel, citrus fruit, berries, spice and a hint of smoke. The palate is soft, sweet and spicy, with clove and nutmeg, and it ends in a long, warm finish with light sweetness.
