A red wine from Sicily made by Alcesti. Nesos is made from Nero d'Avola and shows a deep ruby red colour tending to violet with age. Aromas include ripe plums and cherries, with spicy notes and hints of chocolate and vanilla from wood ageing. The palate is solid yet harmonious, with soft tannins and fresh acidity, and flavours of red and black fruit leading to a long, aromatic finish. It pairs with meat ragu, grilled red meats and aged cheeses, and is best served at about 18°C.
