Nikka Black Rich Blend (70cl, 40%)

Nikka Black Rich Blend is a Japanese blended whisky from Nikka, the producer founded by Masataka Taketsuru in 1934. It is the fuller, more aromatic expression in the Black Nikka collection, bottled at 40%. It combines malt whiskies matured in sherry casks with Nikka's Coffey Grain whisky, which adds softness to the blend. It can be drunk over ice or in a highball. The nose offers ripe orchard fruit, dried raisins, malt and vanilla with soft oak. The palate has sherried fruit, honeyed malt, creamy caramel and gentle oak spice, followed by a mellow finish of delicate sweetness and polished wood.
