Nikka Coffey Malt (45%)

A Japanese whisky from Nikka, first developed in 2013 and bottled at 45% ABV. It is made from 100% malted barley and distilled in a Coffey still. Because it is not distilled in a pot still, it is classed as a grain whisky rather than a malt whisky, despite the name. It is matured in old casks, chosen to bring out a rich maltiness, complexity and a silky texture.
