Nikka Miyagikyo Grande is a single malt made for travel retail and sold in selected airports in Japan. It is bottled at 48% ABV without chill filtration, and it uses more sherry casks than the standard Miyagikyo Single Malt.
The nose is floral and zesty, with vanilla, honeysuckle and marzipan, then a clear sherry influence of sweet cream, light raisin and grape. On the palate come baked pastry, almond, black pepper and citrus zest, alongside milk chocolate and buttery shortbread. The finish is of medium length, with more pastry dough and honey over a gentle woodiness.
