Nikka Pure Malt Black (50cl, 43%)

Nikka Pure Malt Black is a blended malt Japanese whisky, bottled at 43% ABV in a 50cl bottle. It is described as having powerful peat, a rich taste and a firm flavour. The bottle has a laboratory feel and was designed by the same designer as Nikka From the Barrel. Of Nikka's two malt distilleries, Yoichi makes the rich, peaty malt. Its pot stills are heated directly with finely powdered natural coal, a traditional method that is hardly used today, even in Scotland, and which gives the whisky its distinct aroma and body.
