Nikka Session Blended Malt Whisky (70cl, 43%)

Nikka Session is a Japanese blended malt whisky, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It combines malts from the Miyagikyo, Yoichi and Ben Nevis distilleries. Nikka bought Ben Nevis in 1989 and has used its malt in many of its whiskies since. The nose offers pineapple, apple, blackcurrant, pear and leafy mint. On the palate the fruit dries away to peppercorn and woody malt. The finish is long on dark chocolate malt bitterness, with a slight peatiness at the end.
