Nikka Tailored Premium is a blended Japanese whisky, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It brings together malt whisky from Nikka's Yoichi and Miyagikyo distilleries with grain whisky made in Coffey stills, with the malt forming the foundation of the blend.
Maturation was mainly in American oak and sherry casks. Nikka was founded by Masataka Taketsuru in 1934.
The nose offers dried apricot, baked apple, raisins and caramel, with toasted brioche and vanilla. On the palate come apple and pear pastry, sultanas, honeyed malt, toffee and warming spice. The finish carries fresh mint, cinnamon and soft orchard fruit.
