Nikka Tsuru Ceramic Decanter (75cl, 43%)

Nikka Tsuru is a Japanese blended whisky with no age statement, bottled at 43% in a 75cl ceramic decanter. Tsuru is the Japanese word for crane, and the bird's likeness decorates the outside of the decanter. It should not be confused with Taketsuru, the blended malt named after Masataka Taketsuru, who founded Nikka. He travelled to Scotland in 1918, studied chemistry at the University of Glasgow and apprenticed at three Scotch distilleries before returning to Japan in 1920 with his Scottish wife, Rita.
