Oban 10 Year Old is a Highland single malt from the 2022 Special Releases, bottled at 57.1% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky was matured first in refill and new American oak, then finished in casks seasoned with Amontillado sherry. The 2022 collection takes mythical creatures as its theme, and each bottle carries a QR code leading to the story behind the artwork and to tasting notes.
The nose is malty, with heather, petrichor and a slight brininess from the Amontillado. The palate is dry and a little spicy, with a touch of saltiness.
