Oban 10 Year Old Special Release 2022 is a single malt bottled at 57.1% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in refill and new American oak, then given a second maturation in ex-sherry and Amontillado seasoned casks.
The nose is mild, with maritime salt and sea air. The palate is creamy, with wine-poached spiced plum balanced by salt and spice. Sweetness runs through light smoke and salt, and the finish ends on chilli pepper.
