Oban 11 Year Old Special Release 2023 is a Highland-style single malt bottled at its natural cask strength of 58%. It belongs to the Diageo Special Releases 2023 series, Spirited Xchange, and takes its inspiration from the rhythms of calypso.
The malt master finished it in casks that previously held Caribbean pot still rum.
The nose combines caramel, maritime notes, tropical fruit and warm spices. On the palate it is full-bodied and flavourful, bringing to mind mango, black pepper and salted caramel.
