Oban 12 Year Old Legends Untold is a 2021 Special Release single malt, bottled at 56.2% abv in a 70cl bottle.
It comes from non-traditional casks and is described as bringing together the lighter and darker sides of Oban, a malt that sits between the Highland and Island styles. Spicy yet sunlit, it keeps the understated, easy-drinking character of the distillery.
The nose is maritime, with crispy edible seaweed, crystal salt, coarse black pepper and lightly smoked white fish. A drop of water brings light olive oil forward.
Tasting Notes
