This is the 2021 Special Release of Oban 12 Year Old, a Highland single malt bottled at 56.2%. The release carries the name A Tale of Twin Foxes.
The whisky was matured in ex-bourbon and refill casks. A few drops of water are recommended.
The nose brings seaweed, sea salt, black pepper, light smoke, chilli sauce and olive oil. On the palate there is lemon, oak spice, garden herbs and salty sea air, with a fatty pepper note that lingers. The finish is medium in length and balanced.
