Oban 14 Year Old is a West Highland single malt from the distillery in the town of Oban, founded by John and Hugh Stevenson in 1794. It comes in a 70cl bottle.
The stills are among the smallest in Scotland, and the malt sits between the Highland and Island styles, joining sea air character to soft, fruity Highland richness.
The nose is warm and sweet, with orchard fruit, almond fruit cake, Christmas pudding and orange, and later brine and a little smoke. The palate is dense and spicy, with orange zest, clove and green apple. The finish is long and drying, rich in dark chocolate.
