Oban 14 Year Old is a West Highland single malt from the distillery in the town of Oban, in Argyll. It is bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle, after 14 years in oak casks.
The distillery began as a brewery in 1793, and distillation on the site is first recorded in 1799. Very small pot stills and maximum copper contact shape the spirit, which is described as fruity and smoky, slightly salty and mineral, honeyed, with a hint of smoke.
