Oban 14 Year Old is a Highland single malt from a small distillery, bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It was first released in 1998 as part of the Classic Malts of Scotland series from its owner, Diageo, and is olive gold in colour.
The nose is richly sweet and fruity, with orange, lemon and pear, then salty sea air and a light peaty smokiness. The palate is full-bodied, with dried figs and honeyed spices, ending in smoky, malty dryness. The finish is long, smooth and sweet, with oak and a touch of salt.
