This is the 2022 Distillers Edition of Oban single malt, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. The distillery's master distiller chose a small number of casks for a second maturation in Montilla Fino seasoned American oak.
Montilla Fino was picked to underline the sea character of the malt, and the dry, delicate cask is meant to complement Oban's graceful style.
Soft creaminess meets hints of salty sea breeze. Dry grape notes from the Montilla Fino develop into waves of malt and white pepper, leading to a long, sweet, smoky finish.
