Oban Little Bay is a single malt from Oban, in the West Highland region of Scotland, bottled at 43%. It carries no age statement and is named after the smallest bay in the town.
The whisky is first matured in rejuvenated American oak casks, then finished in 200-litre second-fill American oak ex-bourbon quarter casks. A selection is also finished in European oak sherry casks.
The nose is fragrant, with dark fruit, dried apple, honey, banana and treacle tart. The palate is soft and buttery, with Christmas spices and orange zest, and the finish is long and dry.
