Oban Single Malt Teddy The Macleans is a limited edition of 3,960 bottles, bottled at 51.7% ABV. It shows a deep bronze-gold colour with copper flashes and a clear sherry influence.
The nose brings salted caramel, orange peel and heather honey, with dried apricot, sultana, a little sea spray and smouldering oak. On the palate, toffee and spiced orange sit alongside fig, raisin, black cherry, ginger and nutmeg, with a briny, charred-barley thread. The finish is long and warming, with cocoa nib, clove, orange oil and peppery smoke.
