Ohishi 10 Year Old Ex-Brandy Cask Whisky is a Japanese whisky from Ohishi Distillery, which was founded in 1872 in the mountainous countryside of south-west Japan.
It is a marriage of just a few casks that have been matured in ex-brandy barrels. The brandy casks add soft oak, vanilla and pineapple, along with a touch of oxidation and rancio, and these sit alongside the silkiness of the rice.
