Okami 8 Year Old Pure Malt - Mizunara Casks Finish (70cl, 40%)

Okami 8 Year Old Pure Malt is a Japanese blended malt in a 70cl bottle, at 40% ABV. It was matured for seven years in American oak casks, then finished for twelve months in Mizunara oak, which brings honey, vanilla and sandalwood. It is chill-filtered and has no added colouring. It is produced by Okami Whisky at the San Foods distillery. The nose opens with cherry blossom and delicate vanilla, with honey and bright citrus. The palate has honey, exotic fruit and gentle spice, with ripe orange and sweet honey. The finish is long and soft, with a hint of oak and a sweet close.
