Old Carter Batch 6 is a barrel strength Kentucky straight bourbon released in October 2020 by Mark and Sherri Carter. The whiskey was sourced from an undisclosed Kentucky distillery and bottled in Bardstown at 106.5 proof (53.25%), non-chill filtered, in a 750ml bottle.
It is a blend of 14 barrels aged between 10 and 15 years. There were 2,497 bottles, each labelled by hand by Sherri.
The nose offers cedar, brioche, roasted nuts, vanilla bean and butterscotch with a touch of rickhouse must. The palate is buttery and mouth coating, with leather, cinnamon-dipped apple, baking spice, dark fruit and vanilla. The finish is long and sweet, with vanilla, gentle oak and a hint of mint.
