Old Fitzgerald 11 Year Old is a wheated bourbon from Heaven Hill's Old Fitzgerald line, here from 2013 in the 2024 edition decanter. Wheat takes the place of rye, which gives a softer, rounder structure with more sweetness, custard and toffee and less spice. It is bottled in bond, so the whiskey comes from a single season's distillation and is bottled at 100 proof, 50% ABV. The decanter shape pays tribute to the Diamond Decanter design of the mid-twentieth century. The palate offers rich caramel, vanilla and cream, with spice in balance against the sweetness.
