Old Forester 1920 Prohibition Style Bourbon (75cl, 57.5%)

Old Forester 1920 Prohibition Style is a bourbon bottled at 57.5% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It pays tribute to the whiskey Old Forester sold during Prohibition, when it was one of a handful of distillers granted a federal medicinal permit. The name looks back to 1920, when bourbon went into the barrel at 100 proof and came out stronger after years of ageing. This bottling follows that idea at 115 proof. The nose is dark, with caramel, dark chocolate and baking spice over seasoned oak. On the palate come toffee, cocoa, cinnamon heat and charred oak, and the finish is long and warming, with spice and vanilla.
