Old Forester – 1920 Prohibition Style Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whisky (75cl, 59.8%)

Old Forester 1920 Prohibition Style is a Kentucky straight bourbon bottled at 115 proof, or 59.8%, in a 75cl bottle. It is the third expression in the Old Forester Whiskey Row series and looks back to Prohibition, when Old Forester continued to be produced as medicinal whiskey on Louisville's Whiskey Row under one of six permits granted in Kentucky. The aroma is cherry preserves, caramel, dark chocolate, maple syrup and spicy oak. On the palate, dark caramel meets malt nuttiness, graham cracker, green peppercorn, coriander and a hint of cedar. The finish is long and smoky, with tart apple, toasted marshmallow and chocolate.
