This is the 2002 release of Old Forester Birthday Bourbon, a Kentucky straight bourbon from Old Forester in Louisville, in a 75cl bottle. It was the first edition of the annual series.
It came out on 2 September 2002, the birthday of Old Forester's founder, George Garvin Brown, and is a tribute to him. Brown established Old Forester in 1870 as America's first commercially bottled bourbon.
The bourbon is a small batch made from hand-selected barrels of 12-year-old whisky.
