Old Grand-Dad 7 Year 114 Proof is a high-rye Kentucky straight bourbon from James B. Beam Distilling Co. in Clermont, Kentucky, bottled at 57% ABV (114 proof). It earned a Double Gold medal with 98 points at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition and was named one of the 2025 Top Five Best-in-Class Bourbons; Wine Enthusiast awarded it 92 points. The mashbill is 63% corn, 27% rye and 10% malted barley, aged seven years in new charred American oak without chill filtration. The nose shows warm vanilla, fresh corn, cinnamon spice, ripe pear, apricot and seasoned oak. The palate brings dark cherry, caramel-toffee, bold rye spice, nutmeg, tobacco leaf and dark chocolate. The finish is long and slightly tannic, with cinnamon, toasted oak, cracked black pepper and dried cherries.
