Old Malt Cask Ben Nevis 24 Year Old (70cl)

This is a 24-year-old Ben Nevis in a 70cl bottle, released under the Old Malt Cask label. Ben Nevis distillery stands at Lochy Bridge in Fort William, at the foot of the highest mountain in the British Isles, and draws its water from the Allt a'Mhuilinn. It was founded in 1825 and has belonged to Nikka Whisky Distilling since 1989. The nose is treacle, strawberries and vanilla. The palate is sweet, with anise, Granny Smith apples and caramels, and the finish is long and lingering, with rye spiciness and oak.
