Old Particular Craigellachie 15 Year Old 2006 is a single malt from Craigellachie, bottled by Douglas Laing in its Old Particular series. It comes from a single sherry butt and is bottled without dilution, chill filtration or added colour.
The nose is dark fruit and spice, with black cherries, clove, leather, cigar box and old sherry cellars. The palate is viscous and powerful, with Black Forest cake, spiced plums and walnut oil, then bitter chocolate and a faint sulphur note. The finish is long, with oak tannins, burnt orange zest and espresso bitterness.
