This is a 12-year-old single malt from Glen Garioch, bottled by Douglas Laing in its Old Particular range. The whisky was distilled in 2010 and released in 2022, having matured in a refill hogshead.
The nose is sweet, with butterscotch, honey and caramel. The palate turns waxy, with barley sugar, vanilla and a gentle pepper, and the finish carries lingering, drying spices.
