Old Pulteney 10 Year Old is a single malt Scotch whisky in a 1 litre bottle, bottled at 40% ABV. Its ten years of ageing were spent in second fill American oak bourbon barrels.
The creamier notes from the cask carry a hint of seaside salinity. The nose offers pear tart, honey, banana, vanilla cream, lemon curd and oak spice. On the palate come green apple, more honey, lemon meringue pie, a little tobacco and overripe pear, with a sea breeze underneath. The finish is salted caramel alongside drying oak.
