This Old Pulteney is a single cask 14 year old single malt, distilled in 2006 and bottled in 2020 at 53%. It matured in cask no. 2059, a former bourbon cask of American white oak.
Old Pulteney is made in Wick, on the Caithness coast, and is known as the Maritime Malt. Its whisky matures in warehouses exposed to sea air.
The golden whisky opens with chocolate, ripe apples, pickled pears and a hint of lemon zest. Creamy vanilla and nutty chocolate carry through to a long finish.
