Old Pulteney 16 Year Old is a single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle.
It has been matured in both American oak bourbon barrels and Spanish oak casks seasoned with Oloroso sherry. The fruit and spice from those casks sit alongside the maritime character of the malt.
The nose brings rock pool salinity, rum-soaked raisins and drying peppery malt. On the palate come melted butter, cooked apple, sea air, cinnamon rolls and sponge cake. The finish is peppery oak with lingering baking spice and a touch of toffee.
