Old Pulteney – 2006/2022 Single Cask #1454 (52.2%)

This is a single cask Old Pulteney, distilled in 2006 and bottled in 2022 at 52.2% ABV. The distillery stands in the town of Wick on the Caithness coast, and its whisky matures in warehouses exposed to the sea air. This one spent at least 15 years in a bourbon cask, number 1454. The notes describe vanilla, honey toffee, apples and almonds, with salted caramel and tropical fruit leading to a creamy, long finish.
