Old Pulteney Port is a limited-edition Highland single malt from the distillery's Coastal Series. It was first matured in American oak ex-bourbon casks, then given further maturation in Ruby Port pipes and barriques from the Douro Valley.
It is bottled at 46% ABV. The Port casks bring baked apple, candied orange, ripe plums and vanilla, alongside warming cinnamon and the distillery's coastal salinity.
The nose offers sultanas, candied orange, buttery vanilla, marzipan and gingerbread spice. On the palate it is rich and rounded, with baked apples, cinnamon, vanilla custard and a touch of sea salt. The finish is warming, with dried fruit and soft oak spice.
