This is an Old Pulteney single malt bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured first in second-fill ex-bourbon casks, then moved into hand-selected Ruby Port pipes and barriques, where it took up the rich flavours of the fortified wine.
The nose is sweet and spicy, with baked apples, caramelised sugar and cinnamon pastries, plus vanilla custard, a hint of rosewater and the mineral character of the Maritime Malt. The palate carries delicate fruit, warming spice and the sweetness of plum jam.
