Old Rip Van Winkle is a 10 year old Kentucky bourbon bottled at 107 proof (53.5%). It is bottled as close to barrel proof as possible, with just a splash of Kentucky limestone well water added when the barrels are emptied.
It has a rich copper colour. The nose is sweet and spicy, with caramel, nut and fudge aromas. The palate is fruity and medium to full-bodied, with intense dried fruit and toasted nuts. The finish is very long, with peppery brown spices, floral honey and charred barrel.
