Old Rip Van Winkle 10 Year Old is a Kentucky bourbon bottled at 107 proof (53.5%) in a 750ml bottle. It is bottled as close to barrel proof as possible, with only a splash of Kentucky limestone well water added when the barrels are emptied. The colour is a rich copper.
On the nose it is sweet and spicy, with caramel, nut and fudge aromas. The palate is fruity and medium to full-bodied, with intense dried fruit and toasted nuts. The finish is very long, with peppery brown spices, floral honey and charred barrel.
