This is a 50-year-old single malt bottled by Signatory Vintage in 2026, from whisky distilled in 1976. It marks the 50th anniversary of Kirsch Import. Christoph Kirsch, his father Dieter and Signatory founder Andrew Symington chose the cask together. 651 bottles were filled, at 43.3% in 70cl, without chill-filtration or added colouring. Pronounced sherry notes sit alongside salty coastal hints, dried fruit and dark chocolate, with citrus peel, subtle peat and aged oak. The nose is mild malt, vanilla and aged wood. The palate is soft, with creamy vanilla, caramel and a touch of peat. The finish is long, savoury and maritime, with lingering sherry sweetness.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
