Overeem – Port Cask Single Malt Whisky (70cl, 43%)

Overeem Port Cask is a Tasmanian single malt from a family-run distillery founded in 2005 by Casey Overeem. Port barrels have been the backbone of the Overeem range, and this release is where it all began. The darker flavours from the cask are paired with the distillery's rich spirit. It is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. The nose is described as butterscotch, creme brulee and rum and raisin cake, with hints of rosewater and a toasty note. The palate offers salted caramel, toasted marshmallow and Christmas pudding, with dark chocolate and a hint of coffee. The finish is long and sweet.
